I grew up in Macon, Georgia… exit one south bound: Hartley Bridge Road. James H. Porter Elementary School was where I would find my longest lasting friendship. As I walked into the first day of fourth grade, I sat down next to some girls I had known since kindergarten and called my bffl's (best friends for life). We giggled and talked through the whole class and then at the end of the day they all went home quickly because their parents arrived early for the carpool line. I was the last one in the class waiting for bus 9903. While waiting, I talked to my teacher for quite some time about a lot of different things. This became a routine for us and before I knew it, she had become a friend to me. Little did I know that eight years later she would be the only one from Porter Elementary on School Road come to my High School Graduation yelling, "Woooooo Go Hannah Mae!!!" as I got my diploma and I saw a tear go down her face as I turned for my picture. You never know where or when you are making your most valuable friendship so
